Microsoft teams have brought a new auto break feature that allows you to automate your breaks between back-to-back meetings. You can now find the settings inside the outlook. This particular feature can allow you or your organization to set 5 mins or 10 mins or 15 mins off time for Microsoft teams in between multiple meetings. Due to the pandemic situations and repeat lockdowns, there is a digital overload on users who are working from home. This new feature or Microsoft teams can reduce the digital overload on users.
Microsoft says that this new Microsoft Teams feature is implemented in the outlook settings. It gives users the ability to set default times for shortening the meeting period or make some space between the meetings. This setting is fully customizable. You can choose whether you will take the break in the beginning or in the end of the meetings. You can also choose the suitable time period for the break.
The settings can be found in outlook app or web version both. Go to Calendar>>Events and invitation>> Shorten duration of all events>> Then select the duration of the breaks from the dropdown menu to enable the new feature for Microsoft teams.
“For instance, it could be a five-minute break ahead of all 30-minute meetings or 15-minute break after all hour-long meetings. Once the setting is enabled, when employees schedule meetings, the meeting start- or end-time will automatically be adjusted based on the individual or company-wide setting,” Said Microsoft in the official blog.
Employees will be able to see notifications after scheduling the meeting when the company enables this new feature in outlook. Once the feature is enabled by Microsoft, employees can customize the new setting to their convenience. Microsoft Teams will let them end their events or meetings a few mins early or start their meetings a few mins late. You just need to configure the setting in outlook and the configuration will be replicated to Outlook for Windows, Outlook for Mac, Outlook on the Web, Outlook for iOS, and Outlook for Android.
