New Chrome Update for Windows, Mac, Linux Devices

Google has released a new chrome update. This new chrome update is available on windows, linux and Mac. Google new chrome update has released 7 security fixes in total. Among these 7 fixes, the Zero-day vulnerability is most important and was needed also.

According to google, the new updated chrome browser will be live in the coming days. It is highly recommended by google for users to install the new chrome update as soon as they get the update on their device. Google also added external researchers who already reported the vulnerabilities.

The new chrome updated version is 90.0.4430.85 as per google’s official site information. This update is available for all the 3 OS such as Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Top 5 Fixes in New Chrome Update:

In terms of security fixes, Google has reviewed 5 major critical security fixes in the new chrome update.

  1. 1st one is CVE-2021-21222 and that is for heap buffer overflow in the V8 JavaScript engine.
  2. 2nd one is CVE-2021-21223 and this is an integer overflow in the Mojo interface.
  3. 3rd one is CVE-2021-21224, it’s a confusing type in the V8 engine.
  4. CVE-2021-21225 for out-of-bounds memory access flaw.
  5. CVE-2021-21226 for use-after-free in navigation.

Regarding the new chrome update bug fixes Goggle said, “Access to bug details and links may be kept restricted until a majority of users are updated with a fix. We will also retain restrictions if the bug exists in a third-party library that other projects similarly depend on, but haven’t yet fixed,”.
